Plumber of the Year Partnership 2019

Plumber of the Year

As the entries open for UK Plumber of the Year 2019, we’re happy to announce we’re back as a prize partner for the competition.

The 2018 competition had hundreds of entries from plumbers all over the country, reaching a record number of applications and now it’s back for the 5th year running.

About Plumber of the Year

The national competition was launched back in 2015 and is delivered by bathroom and kitchen giants JT, Bristan and Wolseley to recognise the outstanding level of talent from plumbers across the UK.

The competition’s official judging partner, Watersafe, will compile the applications and shortlist 15 plumbers from across the UK. Last year saw the introduction of regional heats, which awards one plumber from six regions the title: North England, South England, Midlands and West, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. The panel will shortlist three of the best from each region based upon their application, who will then go through to the public vote process, where the three plumbers will campaign to get as many votes as possible.

The finalists from each region with the most votes will receive the title of ‘region’ UK Plumber of the Year 2019. These six regional winners will then compete and go head-to-head for the overall title of UK Plumber of the Year 2019 and attend the grand final which will be held at Bristan HQ later in the year.

Last Year's Winner

Plumber of the Year 2018, Steve Bartin from Taunton, said: “I definitely recommend the competition for all plumbers across the UK to get involved in. The support for and visibility of my business throughout the competition has been fantastic. I pride myself on the service I deliver, so to receive recognition for that is amazing!” Steve has been in the plumbing industry since he left school. He started working as an apprentice and now owns his own plumbing company, Plug and Chain.

Vehicle Livery Solutions Van Wrap

Last year, Vehicle Livery Solutions (VLS) were proud to supply the vehicle livery as a prize for Steve Bartin. He also won his share of JT, Bristan and Wolseley UK products, plus prizes from Big Wipes, Rothenberger, Job Man Workwear, HomeBoost and Proper Job Beer.

This year there is a massive prize fund worth £15,000 up for grabs, including our offer of 10 Chevron Kits if the winner is part of a team.
